“Diversity is having a seat at the table, inclusion is having a voice, and belonging is having that voice be heard.” During our discussion, we will celebrate the diversity of backgrounds, stories, and mental illnesses that this book explores as well as the stories being brought by participants. We aim to be inclusive in our language and our perspectives. We will create a brave space for people to learn more about themselves and help end the stigma that surrounds those living with mental illness. In working towards these goals together we will continue to foster conversations about mental illness, mental health, and the people whose stories are being told. Bekah Hirt and Nancy Jenkins from our Mental Health Team will be leading this small group. We will meet in person at Grace from 6:30 to 7:45 pm for 6 Monday nights. Copies of this book may be purchased online at Barnes and Noble, eBay or Amazon. E-versions are also available for purchase and a few versions may be borrowed from the church office. Click on Register above to sign up.
