In addition to worship, students are required to attend

Own Your Faith Confirmation Banquet May 17th 6-8pm, at Grace in the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary.

Join us for a celebration of your rite of confirmation. Our confirmation banquet is a time for both celebrating and welcoming. Celebrating all these young people have learned through catechism class and worship throughout the years. At their retreat our students are writing their faith statements. Year after year these statements impress us. The understanding our students have of who God is and how much God loves them. We want to celebrate this! We also want to welcome them into our high school youth group. Confirmation is not the end of their Christian life but a new beginning. We hope and pray that all of our youth who are being confirmed will continue to participate in worship and the life of the church!

Students are required to attend as after dinner we will rehearse for Sunday’s worship services. Parents, mentors and up to 6 guests total (including parents and mentors) per student are also invited to attend the banquet. Guests may include grandparents, aunts/uncles, friends, anyone who wishes to support our students in their confirmation rite. 6-7pm will be dinner and celebration. 7-8pm confirmation photo and rehearsal for Sunday. Details about ordering confirmation photos is coming soon. Attached is an invitation for the banquet (May 17th 6-8pm) and to worship (8:45am). Feel free to print these invitations out and send them to your family and friends to invite them to this special celebration of this next step in your life of faith!

We encourage you to write a letter to your student as well and express to them what this step in their faith journey means to you and your own hopes and dreams for their life and journey of faith.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the ministries of Grace Lutheran Church.

Blessings,

Pastor Maria and Pastor Joanna
