December… it’s all about the rush to Christmas. It’s a month of hectic preparations. We find ourselves like expectant parents in the last month of pregnancy, waiting for the birth of their first child. It’s a hard month!

There is so much to do! Rush, rush, rush. There are cards to address and mail, homes to decorate, gifts to buy and wrap, cookies to bake, trees to trim, and family gatherings to plan.

Whew! It is a rush to the finish line!

In all this busyness we invite you to take time to come to church each week and pause for just an hour or two to worship and avoid the rush. Each week we will look at how God’s people waited for the promise of the Savior of the world to be born. Perhaps we too can use these weeks of waiting, to prepare ourselves to celebrate Christmas once more.
