Part 2: Bullseye
Do we find satisfaction and eternal life through our own efforts or through the work of Christ? Bullseye provides a parable or an extended metaphor on the Christian life. Wandering and lost, a couple comes upon a door. One, in particular, is intrigued by the thought of striving for perfection and winning his way through the door by himself. He fails, and immediately he is condemned. Yet the more he tries to hit the mark through his own strength and skill, the worse his condition becomes. His only hope is in the intervention of someone who can hit the perfect mark on his behalf. In preparation, please read Romans 8:3-4.
